Some years ago, Monica began visiting flea markets and antique shops in the United States and Europe, where she collected vintage ,sterling cigarette cases and compacts .She not only restored these fine pieces but turned them into image cases that her clients could use to hold smaller prints of her fine art photography .The demand for these items inspired the development of her own line of sterling image cases and jewelry .These cases ,photo pendants and lockets are designed to become precious heirlooms that hold close to us the images that mean so much.
Each of Monica Rich Kosann’s sterling silver image cases are inspired by vintage accessory pieces from the past that once served a variety of purposes in everyday life .Monica saw in these shapes a new generation of possibilities: modern day image cases of our friends ,family and those we love. Whether for the purse or the briefcase ,the desk top or dressing table ,the home or the office ,Monica’s designs become family heirlooms .The quality and individuality of each design sets her work apart. |
