| PAOLA FERRO Brand has been around for over 20 years now, and has built a strong reputation amoung American retailers,VIP customers and specialist media (Vogue, American Jeweler, International Jeweler, Luster and many others).
Over the years, they have developed a wide and impressive range of designs, fuelled by inspired and compelling stories, and backed by this awareness: the different societies have never been so multiethnic like today, there has never been such a huge cultural contamination in the West, and since several years also in the East; moreover, people are extensively traveling, watching satellite TV, communicating via the internet. In a few words, a sort of cultural and artistic global "fusion" is taking place. This is the leit-motif at the base of their artistic production, since many years.
They started traveling the world in the seventies, when the borders and barriers were still very strong, collecting antiques, tribal and ethnic artifacts all over Asia, Middle East and Africa. Gallerists and jewelers in Europe were their clients and committers.
In 1982 they began designing jewels for exporting companies, initially in Bombay, India. Then they started their own company- Paola Ferro- with a very strong ethnic, or better, multiethnic imprint and identity.
Since then they have been producing and distributing their own collections to high-end jewelers in Europe and in the United States.In the meantime, occassionally designing Fashion Show's Jewelry Collections for several fashion stylists.
Their experiences in jewelry design and production include years of activity with factories in India,Thailand,Indonesia, the Phillippines and of course in Italy where they established their first workshop in Milano in 1992.
Milano has been and will be for a long time to come, a great and precious workshop for fashion,jewelry and interior design.
